We live on a small holding situated on the Dawnay Estate and we have the perfect access into exploring the North York Moors National Park dales and forestry.
We have 10 x stables and 30+ acres of land - we welcome horses and dogs to stay on a temporary or permanent basis. Our hacking spans miles of beautiful quiet land for exploration.
We offer grass, part and full livery services to people living in the area, holiday livery and welcome guests for horse riding holidays in our fabulous accommodation.
If you are looking for an intimate experience with nature and animals Cottage Farm Stables offers a variety of interactions. Whether it be lambing season or foaling time there are always young animals around the farm. Children often enjoy meeting our hens and finding eggs in the chicken hutch. We have a very friendly pack of Labradors and Labradoodle reside here that love to sit on the Tack Room doorstep and give guests friendly greetings.
I keep my horse here, amazing friendly yard, lovely bunch of people and horses. Brilliant off road hacking.

Can't decide which is the best bit - thinking about where we are going to go next on our adventures amongst the miles and miles of hacking or getting together for poles or grids in the school and maybe some pony swapping. The yard has spacious boxes and as much straw and forage as you need. The school is handy for those that like circles or a quick lunge in the winter, but with this much hacking you'll rarely be in it! Valleys, streams, uphill canters, moors and forestry are yours to explore with minimal roadwork. A really welcoming and friendly yard with plenty of people to hack out with, go competing or just film your stressage practice.
