We have 30 acres of grass and woodland located on a smallholding in the beautiful North York Moors National Park, our family-friendly accommodation is surrounded by stunning landscapes and beautiful coastline. We are completely pet-friendly making it the perfect place for you to bring along your horses and dogs as afterall they are part of the family too!
We have run a livery yard from Cottage Farm Stables for over 20 years and have vast knowledge of looking after all types of horses and offer a wide range of flexible livery packages to suit the horse and rider.
We are a sustainable business and have the Tack Room onsite and Pony Glamping in one of our paddocks. We offer a range of experiences for people looking to create special memories here on the farm.

Pony Glamping - the ultimate boutique camping experience with your horse! Open July - September. The site is in a pretty, undulating Meadow in Wykeham. We have three yurts bookable for individuals and groups up to 12 people. The yurts are furnished cosily with maximum comfort in mind each sleeping 2-4. The paddock is right outside so you be staying with your horses in the great outdoors. We have a local cafe, Solange Bakery and Bollies Tearooms in the Village which are a few minutes walk away. Want to enrich your stay with a authentic local experience? Why not book a Horseback Tour through the forest or to the coast? We also offer make your own sour dough pizza nights, take away afternoon tea or ploughmans or a professional photoshoot with your family and pets.

A fun, interactive pizza making night for your friends and family. We provide the pizza oven, sour dough balls and know how and you bring passata, mozzerella cheese and toppings! We set up a station and show you how do make the most delicious pizzas then leave you to enjoy. £10 per person (minimum 4 people)
Coming to relax and unwind? Then why not book at relaxing therapy with our local masseuse at your accommodation. Hot day? Then why not set up outside and lay back listening to the sounds of nature. Enquire for price list. Early booking recommended.
Acre & Shelter is an eco-minded and sustainable business. Living sustainably is important to us and we endeavour to do what we can for the environment. The accommodation and site has been sensitively designed and restored using wood from the farm, reclaimed materials and English antiques. We have used upcycled and reclaimed materials in the design and interiors of the yurts. All plastic, paper and glass is recycled. All our toiletries and cleaning products are earth friendly. In addition to this we seek to work with local businesses who share our values and ethos.
