The Tack Room Ruston is in a quaint village with stream running through it. We are sited on the Dawnay private Estate and have the perfect access to explore the North York Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Coast.

We are pet friendly - bring your horses and dogs on holiday with you. We have the most amazing set up for furry friends and the best walking, hacking and biking from the farm.
We live 15 mins drive from the wonderful rugged coastline which is a must when visiting the area. We are happy to recommend our favourite walks, romantic spots and places to explore.

The Tack Room is our restored mezzanine barn on the farm that sleeps 2 in a king-size bed with 1 additional single mattress that can be put in if required. The Tack Room’s gorgeous eco-chic interior is popular for couples, children and pets seeking a special occasion. It’s located on the farm Cottage Farm Stables, a friendly livery yard and stables run by us for the last 25 years.
Want to enrich your stay with a authentic local experience? Why not book a Horseback Tour through the forest or to the coast? We also do make your own pizza nights, take away afternoon tea or ploughmans or a professional photoshoot with your horse/dog.

A fun, interactive pizza making night for your friends and family. We provide the pizza oven, sour dough balls and know how and you bring passata, mozzerella cheese and toppings! We set up a station and show you how do make the most delicious pizzas then leave you to enjoy. £10 per person (minimum 4 people)

Acre & Shelter is an eco-minded and sustainable business. Living sustainably is important to us and we endeavour to do what we can for the environment. The accommodation and site has been sensitively designed and restored using wood from the farm, reclaimed materials and English antiques. We have used upcycled and reclaimed materials in the design and interiors of the yurts. All plastic, paper and glass is recycled. All our toiletries and cleaning products are earth friendly. In addition to this we seek to work with local businesses who share our values and ethos.
